Confinement
This artwork series combines human figures and ndebele motifs. The dark indigo geometric patterns stand out against the sombre figures, appear transparent and detached. They are unaware of their own entrapment within the things that surround them. Through this series, Mica Dev invites the viewer to question the boundaries of self and society, and the meaning of freedom and isolation.
